Patreon Team Accounts: How to Let Several People Run One Page Without Sharing a Login
Can several people manage one Patreon page without sharing a login?
Yes, through Team Accounts. According to Patreon's Help Center (read 3 October 2026), the feature is open to all creators from 5 August 2025: the owner of the creator account invites teammates, and each teammate signs in with a Patreon login of their own. The Teammate permissions page frames this as the alternative to "sharing a login for one creator page".
The Help Center's steps are written for the Patreon website, patreon.com, so do the set-up on a computer.
Who can do what: Team Lead or teammate?
Two roles exist. The Team Lead is the account owner. The role is tied to the email address used to create the creator account, and only one lead can exist per account. A teammate is anyone the lead invites, and the lead can invite as many as needed.
| Area | Team Lead | Teammate |
|---|---|---|
| Invite and remove teammates | Yes | No |
| Earnings, payout settings, taxes and other financial data | Yes, and only the lead | No access |
| Pay out the balance, add or change payout details, grant refunds | Yes | No |
| Account tab in Creator settings (creator plan, un-launching the page) | Yes | No |
| Blocked users | Can see the list | Cannot block or unblock members |
| Tiers and benefits, special offers, benefit tracker, apps on tiers, Social Connect | Yes | Yes |
| Direct messages, community chats, posting, commenting, liking | Yes | Yes |
| Start a Live, share Quips | Yes | Not available |
Two details matter for community managers. When a teammate posts on the creator's page, the post appears as the creator's. On the team's own page their comments and likes also go out as the creator, while on any other page a teammate comments and likes as themselves. Teammates also get their personal Settings plus a limited view of the creator's settings, which the Help Center says includes App integrations and Email notifications.
How do you add a teammate?
Only the Team Lead can invite. The Help Center's steps:
- Log in to patreon.com with the creator account.
- Open Creator Settings from the left sidebar.
- Click Team in the top menu.
- Select Invite teammate.
- Enter the person's email address and click Send invitation.
The invitation arrives by email with an Accept invite button. Clicking it asks the person to log in or to create their Patreon team account.
Who can and cannot be invited?
- Someone with no creator page. The Help Center says an email tied to a creator account, even an unpublished one, leads to a prompt to sign up with a new email. The Teammate permissions page adds that anyone with a current or previous creator page, including unlaunched pages and accounts reverted to member-only, needs a brand-new account.
- Someone who is not a member of that page. A teammate cannot also be a member of the creator account they help manage, so an existing member must cancel the membership first.
- Someone with their own login. Each teammate works inside an individual account, separate from the lead's.
What does this mean for agencies and managers?
- The creator owns the page. The lead is the account owner, and the Help Center says the role cannot be transferred from one account to another. The Terms of Use add that a creator account belongs to your own creative work and may not be sold or handed to another creator to use. If you manage a page for someone else, you belong in it as a teammate.
- Think about which email creates the account. The lead's login details can be changed later, but the lead stays the account that signed up. Create the page under an address that the creator or business controls.
- Money stays with the lead. Teammates cannot pay out, change payout details or issue refunds, so a manager cannot do those on a creator's behalf.
- Staff with their own creator pages need another account. Patreon's page on multiple accounts says each account needs its own email address and that accounts cannot be merged. The multi-login guide explains the consequences.
- Messages carry member data. The Terms make creators responsible for keeping member data safe under Patreon's Data Processing Agreement, so invite only people who need to handle messages and posting.
How do you remove a teammate who leaves?
- Open Team in your Settings.
- Click Remove next to the person's name.
- Confirm with the Remove teammate button. A confirmation message appears once it has worked.
Because each teammate had a login of their own, nobody else's sign-in has to change. If a password was ever shared anyway, change it. The Help Center's page on unrecognised verification requests also notes that anyone who can read your email can likely reach your Patreon account, so keep the lead's mailbox secure, and turn on two-factor authentication, which Patreon says you set up on the website rather than in the app. Why Patreon asks you to verify a device covers the sign-in side.
What if the invitation or access does not work?
| Symptom | Cause according to the Help Center | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Told to sign up with a new email | The address is tied to a creator account, even an unpublished one | Invite a different, new account |
| Cannot accept as a teammate | The person is a member of that page | Cancel the membership first |
| Teammate cannot see earnings or payouts | Only the Team Lead has the Income section | Ask the lead; teammates cannot be given this access |
| Teammate cannot start a Live or share Quips | Not available to teammates | The lead does these |
| You want a different person to be the lead | The role cannot be transferred, and the pages read describe no hand-over | Ask Patreon Support before changing anything, rather than passing the login to someone else |
Where ADSSPEED fits
ADSSPEED is a desktop app for Windows and macOS for working with many browser profiles. A profile keeps its own cookies, local data and browser settings, so someone who manages several Patreon accounts can keep each one signed in without logging the others out. For a team, each member can keep their own teammate login in a profile of their own. Profiles can be opened and stopped in bulk, and the data stays on the computer you use. Roles and permissions remain Patreon's. Setup is in installing ADSSPEED on Windows. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with Patreon.
Frequently asked questions
Can multiple people manage one Patreon page?
Yes. Patreon's Help Center says Team Accounts, open to all creators since 5 August 2025, let the account owner invite teammates who each have their own login. The owner is the Team Lead, and the pages say the lead can invite as many teammates as needed.
What is the difference between a Team Lead and a teammate on Patreon?
The Team Lead is the account owner and has sole access to earnings, payouts, refunds, the blocked-users list and the Account tab in Creator settings. Teammates can manage tiers and benefits, special offers, messages, posting and comments, but not financial data or account settings.
How do I add a teammate to my Patreon page?
On patreon.com, open Creator Settings from the left sidebar, click Team in the top menu, select Invite teammate, enter the email address and click Send invitation. The teammate receives an email with an Accept invite button and is asked to log in or create a Patreon team account.
Can I transfer the Team Lead role to someone else?
No. The Help Center says the Team Lead role cannot be moved from one account to another, and there can be only one lead per account. The login credentials tied to the lead account can be changed, but the lead remains the account that signed up to Patreon.
Why does Patreon ask my teammate to sign up with a new email?
According to the Help Center, an email address tied to a creator account, even an unpublished one, cannot be used for the team account. People with a current or previous creator page need a brand-new account before they can join as a teammate.
How do I remove a teammate from my Patreon page?
Open Team in your Settings, click Remove next to the person's name and confirm with the Remove teammate button. Patreon shows a confirmation message once the teammate has been removed from the team.
Do teammates post as themselves or as the creator?
On the creator's own page, a teammate's posts appear as the creator's, and so do their comments and likes there. On any other creator's page, a teammate comments and likes as themselves.
