Does Patreon Allow Multiple Accounts? What the Help Center and Terms Actually Say

By ADSSPEED Team · Published · Updated · 6 min read

Does Patreon allow multiple accounts?

Yes, according to the Help Center. Its page on multiple accounts (updated 28 September 2026, read 3 October 2026) says you can keep several accounts to keep different things separate, whether you are a creator, a fan or both, with a different email address on each. The Terms of Use (last updated 27 May 2026) fit with that: in the sections read, covering accounts, abusive conduct, creators, community rules and account deletion, no sentence caps how many accounts a person may hold. What the rules regulate is what you do with each account.

This is a plain-language summary, not legal advice, and the documents can change, so read the current text before you decide. Use only accounts you own or are authorised to manage, and follow Patreon's rules.

What does each Patreon document say?

RuleWhere it is statedIn plain words
Several accountsHelp Center, page on multiple accountsAllowed; each needs its own email; not connected; no merging; a creator's founding status does not carry over
Accurate informationTerms, Your accountGive accurate information in good faith and keep it up to date
Who is signed inTerms, Your account and Abusive conductWhatever happens while someone is logged in to your account is on you, and so is keeping it secure
Selling or transferring a creator accountTerms, creator restrictionsThe account belongs to your own creative work and may not be sold or handed to another creator to use
Technical abuseTerms, Abusive conductDo not abuse Patreon in a technical way or exploit it in an unintended manner that harms Patreon
ImpersonationCommunity Guidelines, Inauthentic BehaviorA page may not exist to pass itself off as another person or brand; parody or a fan page is allowed if clearly disclosed
Spam and inflated numbersCommunity Guidelines, Inauthentic BehaviorNo spam or unsolicited advertising; creators may not offer fans works that promote inauthentic initiatives, such as third-party services that artificially inflate views, likes or members
Returning after removalCommunity Guidelines, Inauthentic BehaviorA removed creator cannot sidestep the appeals process by launching a new campaign
Scraping and loadSecurity PolicyNo automated crawling, scraping or indexing of Patreon, except possibly for a useful feature that Patreon has agreed to beforehand; no brute force or load testing

What can Patreon do when a rule is broken?

The Terms say Patreon can terminate or suspend an account at any time at its sole discretion and can remove material that breaks its policies. They also say that in most situations Patreon works with creators and fans to resolve a violation so they can keep using Patreon, and that terminating an account is not an action it takes lightly.

SituationWhat the Help Center says
A creator account is suspendedTrust & Safety emails the address on the account and shows a banner at login. You can still edit, create and delete posts and change benefits, but members are not billed or notified of new posts, you cannot send DMs, comment or join chats, and you cannot pay out
An account is removedYou have six months to appeal. Funds not yet transferred are held for up to 28 days while the appeal is reviewed
Suspicious activity on a creator accountPayouts pause during a manual review, and you can keep using Patreon
Fraud suspicionThe account is disabled, with an email and an alert at login, and you answer a questionnaire
An inactive creator pagePages with no paid memberships and no new posts or product updates for 30 days are unpublished, and Patreon says it sends an email and in-product notice 30 days beforehand; logging in or editing tiers does not count as activity

The last row matters if you keep a second creator account idle: republishing means logging in, switching to the Creator profile and clicking Publish page.

How do you run several accounts and stay inside the rules?

  • Own or be authorised. Every account is yours or one you are authorised to manage, with accurate details on each.
  • One real person or team behind each. Do not use an account to imitate someone else's name, photos or brand. Label parody and fan pages clearly.
  • No shared logins. You answer for whatever happens while anyone is signed in. Give helpers their own logins through a Team Account.
  • No selling or transferring creator accounts for use by another creator.
  • No crawling or scraping. If you want to build something useful, ask Patreon first, as the Security Policy says.
  • No bought engagement. The Community Guidelines list third-party services that artificially inflate views, likes or members among the inauthentic initiatives creators may not promote to fans.
  • No new account to come back after a removal. Use the appeal route below.
  • Close what you no longer need. The Terms point to the Privacy Center for deletion. Creators who want a break can unpublish and keep the account as member-only.

If an account is suspended or removed: the official route

  1. Read the Trust & Safety email and the banner at login, and check the Community Guidelines it points to.
  2. For a suspension you think is wrong, reply to the email with additional evidence. The Help Center says the case then gets another look from a team member.
  3. For a removal, use the Help Center request form within six months: choose I have a question about Community Guidelines, enter the removed account's email, choose Appeal my account removal for a Community Guidelines violation, add a subject and your reasoning, attach evidence and submit.
  4. If you receive a fraud questionnaire or an identity verification request, answer it completely.
  5. Do not open a new account to carry on. That is what the Community Guidelines rule out for removed creators.
  6. Send one request per issue; the Help Center says repeats delay answers, and there is no phone support.

What if you are unsure whether something is allowed?

The Help Center's page on the Community Guidelines says to use the request form and select I have a question about Community Guidelines, and that a Trust & Safety teammate will help. Ask before you act, and keep each account's own email address current so Support can reach you.

Where ADSSPEED fits

ADSSPEED manages many browser profiles in a desktop app for Windows and macOS. Each profile holds its own cookies, local data and browser settings, so accounts you manage can stay signed in side by side, and profile data is kept on your own computer. It is a way to organise sign-ins, not a way to change Patreon's rules: impersonation, spam, scraping and returning after a removal stay against the rules whichever tool you use. See installing ADSSPEED on Windows. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with Patreon.

Frequently asked questions

Does Patreon allow multiple accounts?

Yes. Patreon's Help Center says you can have multiple accounts to keep different things separate, whether you are a creator, a fan or both, as long as each uses a different email address. The Terms of Use sections read set no limit on the number of accounts.

Can Patreon ban me for having two accounts?

The Help Center page that allows multiple accounts attaches no penalty to holding them, and no sentence read in the Terms caps their number. Patreon can still suspend or terminate any account at its sole discretion when its Terms or policies are broken, so judge each account by what it does.

Can I share my Patreon login with my team?

The Terms hold you responsible for whatever happens while anyone is logged in to your account, and the Help Center presents Team Accounts as the alternative to sharing a login. Each teammate gets their own login, and only the Team Lead sees earnings and payouts.

Can I sell or transfer my Patreon account?

For creators, the Terms say an account belongs to your own creative work and may not be sold or handed to another creator to use. To share the work of running a page, Patreon's route is a Team Account with each person on their own login.

I was removed from Patreon. Can I start a new page?

The Community Guidelines say removed creators may not get around the proper appeals process by creating a new campaign. The Help Center gives you six months to appeal a removal through its request form, and funds not yet transferred are held for up to 28 days during the review.

How do I delete a Patreon account?

Submit a privacy request in Patreon's Privacy Center and choose to erase your data. The Help Center says this can take up to 30 days, you have 14 days to stop it, and you should cancel active memberships first. Creators who want a break can unpublish and keep the account as member-only.

Is scraping Patreon allowed?

The Security Policy says not to crawl, scrape or otherwise index information on Patreon, and that Patreon may allow it for building a useful feature only if you check with them first. Breaking the policy can lead to account termination.
