Can You Be Logged In to Two Patreon Accounts at Once on One Computer?

By ADSSPEED Team · Published · Updated · 6 min read

Can you be logged in to two Patreon accounts at once on one computer?

Patreon lets you hold more than one account, but the Help Center pages read for this guide describe no account switcher. According to Patreon's Help Center (read 3 October 2026), you can have multiple accounts to keep different things separate, whether you are a creator, a fan or both. In one browser profile the dependable route is to log out and sign in again. Two accounts stay open side by side only when each one sits in its own browser profile or browser, because Chromium keeps cookies in a separate folder for every profile.

On a computer you use Patreon in the browser at patreon.com. The Help Center's page on the Patreon app compares the iOS and Android apps with Desktop and Mobile web, describes no Windows or macOS app, and shows that profile settings such as two-factor authentication are on desktop and mobile web but not in the iOS or Android apps.

Do you need a second Patreon account at all?

Often not. Patreon says one login can run a creator page and also hold your memberships.

SituationWhat the Help Center saysWhat to do
You are a creator and also support other creatorsYour creator page and your memberships or purchases can sit under a single account and loginKeep one account
Several people help run one pageTeam Accounts add collaborators to an existing page, each with their own loginInvite teammates, as the team access guide explains
You want fan activity kept apart from a creator pageMultiple accounts are allowed for keeping things separateA second account with its own email address
You suspect a duplicate already existsDuplicates come from a typo email, a similar alternate email, or a Continue with Google, Facebook or Apple button after signing up with emailSearch your inboxes, see below

Inside one login there is also a switch between Member view and Creator profile, which Patreon's pages mention when they say to be in Member view to change a password. That is a change of view, not of account.

What does Patreon say about running several accounts?

The Help Center page on multiple accounts lists the conditions:

  • Every account logs in with its own email address.
  • Nothing links the accounts, and data cannot be moved from one to the other.
  • Accounts cannot be merged.
  • An address that already belongs to one account cannot be given to another; the page on changing your email says the same.
  • A creator's founder status stays with the original account.

How do you sign in to each account?

Note which route each account uses, because the routes differ in what they send you.

RouteWhat the Help Center saysKeep in mind
Email and passwordReset a password only after logging out at patreon.com/logout; reset emails come from password@patreon.comOne password per account
Continue with Google, Facebook or AppleAccounts created this way likely have no Patreon password; Apple lets a new patron hide their emailUse the same button every time, or a second account may appear
Passwordless (free members signing up for the first time)Patreon emails a new code at each login; you can add a password under Account settings once logged inEach code goes to that account's own inbox
Two-factor authenticationA 6-digit code at every login, by text or authenticator app; set up on the website, not in the appKeep the recovery codes in a password manager

How do you switch from one account to the other?

  1. Log out with patreon.com/logout. The Help Center says the link logs you out automatically.
  2. Open the Patreon login page and sign in with the other account's email, or with the same Google, Facebook or Apple button you used to create it.
  3. Complete any check that appears, such as a device verification email or a login code. Why Patreon keeps asking you to verify a device explains them.
  4. Confirm the account before you act. In Member view, Settings opens a Basics page that shows the account email.

This is switching, not side-by-side use: the first account leaves the browser when you log out.

Which options exist for two accounts on one PC?

OptionWhat you getLimits
Log out and sign in againOne account at a time, no setupEach sign-in can bring a verification email or code
Two different browsersTwo accounts open togetherPatreon recommends the latest Chrome, Safari or Edge on desktop, and its Browser support page lists no Firefox
One browser profile per accountSeveral accounts open together; Chrome Help says profiles keep bookmarks, history, passwords and other settings separateYou must open the right profile each time; see the profiles guide
A Team AccountHelpers use their own logins on one creator pageFor people, not for your own second login
The Patreon mobile appsPatreon on a phone, separate from the computerSome features, such as account settings, live on the website instead

A profile separates data on your computer, not the computer or its connection. What a browser profile is explains the idea, and the comparison guide covers how private windows and VPNs differ.

What goes wrong when one person has several accounts?

  • An accidental duplicate. The Help Center says that if you cannot find your membership, payment or posts, you may have more than one account. It lists three causes: a typo in the original email, a similar alternate email you own, or signing up with email and later using a Continue with Facebook, Apple or Google button. You can stay billed on the original account while losing access to member-only content.
  • No merging. Patreon says it cannot merge accounts or move memberships. Decide which account to keep, then sign in to the other and delete it. The Help Center says deleting cancels that account's active memberships, so tell creators first and check which email you are deleting. Its separate deletion page says erasure can take up to 30 days, that you have 14 days to stop it, and that you should cancel memberships beforehand.
  • Lost track of the email. Enter possible addresses on the password reset page; the reset email you receive confirms the login address. The Help Center also suggests searching every inbox for mail from no-reply@patreon.com.
  • A typo at passwordless sign-up. A free member can join again with the right address. With a paid membership, contact Support and choose Account access and sign up.
  • A creator with several pages. The Help Center says you can unlaunch a page instead of deleting a whole account, which keeps your memberships active on the main account.

What if it still fails?

  • Verification emails, expired links or repeated CAPTCHAs: read why Patreon keeps asking you to verify a device.
  • You cannot reach an account's email: contact Support, which checks your identity before acting. It is an email form with no phone line, and the Help Center asks for one request per issue.

Where ADSSPEED fits

ADSSPEED is a Windows and macOS desktop app built around browser profiles. Because each profile has its own cookies, local data and browser settings, two Patreon accounts that you manage can stay signed in next to each other instead of replacing one another. You open and stop profiles from one place, in bulk when there are many, and the profile data stays on your own computer. Nothing here changes what Patreon allows: each account still signs in the way the Help Center describes. Setup is in installing ADSSPEED on Windows. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with Patreon.

Frequently asked questions

Can you have two Patreon accounts?

Yes. Patreon's Help Center says you can have multiple Patreon accounts to keep different things separate, whether you are a creator, a fan or both. Each account needs its own email address, nothing links the accounts, and data cannot be moved from one to the other.

How many Patreon accounts can I have?

The Help Center page on multiple accounts names no maximum. It lists conditions instead: different email addresses, no connection between accounts, no merging, and an email address that can belong to only one account.

Can I merge two Patreon accounts?

No. The Help Center says accounts cannot be merged and that Patreon cannot move memberships between them. If a duplicate appeared by accident, you decide which account to keep, then sign in to the other one and delete it, which cancels that account's active memberships.

Does Patreon have an account switcher?

The Help Center pages read for this guide describe none. They do mention switching between your Member view and your Creator profile inside one login, and they give patreon.com/logout for logging out, so the dependable way to move to a different account is to log out and sign in again.

Can I be both a creator and a fan on one Patreon login?

Yes. According to the Help Center you can manage your creator page and your memberships or purchases under a single Patreon account and login, so a second account is not needed just to support other creators.

I signed in with Google and ended up with a second account. What now?

The Help Center says signing in with Google or Facebook can create a second account without you noticing. Decide which account to keep, delete the other after signing in to it, and use the same sign-in method from then on. If you cannot reach the email on the duplicate, submit a request to Patreon Product Support.

How do I log out of Patreon?

The Help Center gives the link patreon.com/logout, which logs you out automatically. It uses that link before a password reset, because a reset only works once you are logged out.
