Can You Switch Between Accounts on Quora? Several Logins on One Computer

Can you be signed in to more than one Quora account at once? #

Not through anything Quora documents for separate personal accounts. According to Quora's help pages (read 3 October 2026), the account switcher they describe moves between your own user profile and the Business Profiles you administer, and an older article says Quora's policy is a single account per person.

That is not the whole picture. Quora's Platform Policies, which the Help Center data shows as edited in November 2025, aim at multiple accounts used to break Quora's rules, and they expressly allow an account that represents a legally incorporated business or organisation. Which Quora route fits what you are trying to do? #

Five of these six keep each person on a single Quora login. Only the last asks one person to hold a second login, and Quora's own article discourages it.

How does Switch Accounts work, and where does it stop? #

On quora.com, click your profile icon and choose Switch Accounts. Quora's business support article (edited December 2021) says the menu shows the Business Profiles you are an admin for. Click one to switch, and use the same route to return to your user profile.

Two limits matter in daily use:

• The list holds only profiles you administer. No admin role, no entry.
• Quora's ad support (article edited April 2021) says a Business Profile cannot be used to open the Ads Manager, so you switch back to your personal profile first. It also says Ads Managers are reached through a user's Quora profile, and that its team can connect several Ads Managers to one profile for an agency, after which you switch between them from the Ads Manager's profile dropdown.

What happens when you sign in twice in the same browser? #

Quora's Help Center does not say how it treats a second sign-in made in a browser that already holds one, so do not build a routine on a guess. What is documented is how browsers store sign-ins. Chromium's documentation says the user data directory holds profile data such as history, bookmarks and cookies, and that each profile is a subdirectory. Every ordinary window of one profile therefore reads the same stored data. Mozilla's page on Firefox Containers names the same need: logging in to several accounts on one site, even when the site does not natively support concurrent sessions.

The practical rule is one browser profile, one Quora sign-in. A second sign-in at the same time belongs in a second profile.

How do you keep two authorised accounts apart on one computer? #

1. Check whether you need a second login. A company presence is a Business Profile, another language is a setting, and a teammate is an admin invitation rather than a shared password.
2. Name an owner for every account that remains, and keep its recovery email in the owner's or the organisation's hands. The Help Center says Quora sends password-reset emails only to the address tied to the account.
3. Create one browser profile per account. In Chrome, open the profile menu at the top right, choose Add Chrome profile, then pick a name and a colour. The profile guide has the full routine.
4. Sign in once, inside that profile only. Do not open the same Quora account in two profiles.
5. Check before you post. Compare the browser profile name with the avatar on Quora. Quora's ad support lists being signed in to the wrong user profile as one cause of a Permission Denied error in the Ads Manager.
6. Sign out inside the profile when you finish. On the desktop site, use the profile menu at the top right and the Logout link at the bottom of the dropdown.
