Two Dailymotion Accounts on One PC: How to Set Up Separate Browser Profiles
How do you keep two Dailymotion accounts apart on one PC?
Give each account its own browser profile and sign in to only one Dailymotion account inside it. A Chrome profile keeps bookmarks, history, passwords and other settings apart, Chromium's documentation describes each profile as a subdirectory of the user data directory that holds profile data such as cookies, and an Edge profile keeps browsing history and bookmarks separate, so a Dailymotion sign-in made in one profile is not present in another.
This matches how Dailymotion works on a computer. According to its Help Center and Cookie Policy (read 3 October 2026), you use the website and Studio in a desktop browser, the pages read describe no switcher between separate accounts, and your sign-in is held by cookies such as access_token and refresh_token. A profile gives each account a set of its own. It does not change your computer, your connection or Dailymotion's rules. If the idea is new, read what a browser profile is.
What does a browser profile keep apart?
| Item | Chrome or Edge profile | Firefox container |
|---|---|---|
| Cookies and sign-ins | Kept per profile | Kept per container |
| History and bookmarks | Kept per profile | Not separated |
| Saved passwords | Kept per profile in Chrome | Shared by design |
| Two Dailymotion accounts open together | Yes, in two profiles | Yes, in two container tabs |
| The computer and the internet connection | Shared | Shared |
The facts come from the Chrome, Chromium, Edge and Mozilla pages listed below. Private windows and VPNs are different tools; the comparison guide explains how.
How do you set one up for Dailymotion?
- Create the profile. In Chrome, select Profile at the top right, then Add Chrome profile, and choose a name, photo and colour scheme. In Edge, select the profile icon at the upper right, then Manage profile settings and Add profile.
- Decide on syncing. Chrome says signing in with a Google Account lets you save bookmarks, passwords and settings to that account and reach them on other devices. For client work, decide whose Google Account that should be.
- Name it after the account, using the pattern suggested below.
- Sign in to Dailymotion. Open dailymotion.com in that profile and sign in with the account's email and password, or with Continue with Google. A new email account asks for a 6-digit code that is valid for 3 hours.
- Check and bookmark. Open your avatar menu to confirm the account, then bookmark Studio. The Help Center gives dailymotion.com/partner as its direct address.
- Repeat for each account, and never sign in to a second account in the same profile.
What is specific to Dailymotion?
- Sign-in methods. Email and password, or Continue with Google on desktop web. Apple sign-up is for the apps, not web browsers. If your browser offers several Google accounts, choose carefully.
- The email code. New email accounts must be confirmed within 30 days, and only the newest code works, so request and enter it in the profile that asked for it.
- Browsers. For desktop the Help Center lists Chrome 95, Firefox 115, Safari 14 and Edge 109 or later. It lists no Windows or macOS app, only phone and TV apps.
- Cookies. The Cookie Policy lists authentication cookies with lifespans of 10 hours, 3 months and session, and says a browser may shorten them. A profile folder holds them.
- Phone apps. Dailymotion has Android and iPhone apps, which a browser profile cannot run.
How do you name, hand over and back up?
Naming. Put the brand first, then the Dailymotion username, then the person responsible, for example ACME / acme.tv / Linh. Dailymotion usernames use lowercase letters, numbers, periods and underscores, 3 to 27 characters, so they fit neatly in a profile name. Give each client a colour.
Hand-over. Dailymotion's data-protection page encourages a unique, strong password, limited access to your computer and browser, and logging out after use. Before giving up a profile that was signed in to your account, sign out in it, then remove it: in Chrome open Profile, Manage Chrome profiles, select the profile, then More and Delete. If someone who used the account leaves, change the password in Studio (profile icon, Profile > Edit password). For shared work between people, use Organization roles; the team access guide explains them.
Backups. Two different things need saving:
- The account's content. In Studio go to Media > Videos, open the three-dot menu on a video and choose Download. Deleting a Dailymotion account removes its uploads, playlists, favourites and subscriptions permanently and immediately, so save what you need first.
- The profile folder. Chromium's documentation says each profile is a subfolder of the user data directory, and that on Windows the Chrome default is
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data. A copy of that folder is not a backup of the Dailymotion account, and it holds sign-in cookies, so guard it like a password.
When do ordinary profiles stop being enough?
| Signal | Why it hurts | What helps |
|---|---|---|
| More than a handful of accounts | Names and colours no longer prevent opening the wrong profile | A tool that opens, stops and organises profiles in bulk |
| Several people share one computer | A profile folder holds the sign-in cookies of every account in it | Separate operating-system users, or Organization roles instead of shared profiles |
| A task needs a phone app | Dailymotion lists Android and iPhone apps, and a browser profile cannot run an app | An Android phone profile |
No setup changes what Dailymotion's rules allow or how Dailymotion treats an account.
If a profile misbehaves
- You are signed out whenever the browser closes. Check whether the browser clears cookies on exit, then see why Dailymotion keeps logging you out.
- The wrong account is in the wrong profile. Sign out, sign in with the right email and rename the profile.
- A second sign-in replaced the first. Two accounts in one profile share cookies. Give one of them a profile of its own.
- Sign-in is refused. Work through the multi-login guide and the recovery steps in the sign-in guide.
Where ADSSPEED fits
ADSSPEED is a desktop app for Windows and macOS that manages many browser profiles. Each profile keeps its own cookies, local data and browser settings, so accounts you manage can stay signed in side by side without signing each other out. A proxy can be set per profile and assigned to many profiles in bulk, profiles can be opened, stopped and organised in bulk, and profile data stays on your own computer. Android phone profiles, each with its own device configuration, let you use mobile apps on a PC; see what an antidetect phone is. Setup is in installing ADSSPEED on Windows. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with Dailymotion.
Frequently asked questions
How do I log in to two Dailymotion accounts on the same computer?
The Help Center pages read describe no switcher for separate accounts. Create a browser profile for each account, sign in to one Dailymotion account per profile and keep them in separate windows. Firefox containers do a similar job inside a single window.
Do separate Chrome profiles keep Dailymotion sign-ins apart?
Yes for the sign-in itself. Chromium's documentation describes each profile as a subdirectory of the user data directory, which holds profile data such as history, bookmarks and cookies, so being signed in to Dailymotion in one profile tells another profile nothing. The computer and the connection are still shared by every profile.
Can I use Firefox containers for several Dailymotion accounts?
Mozilla's wiki says containers keep cookies, localStorage, IndexedDB and caches apart and let you log in to several accounts on one site at once. History and bookmarks are not separated, and saved passwords are shared by design. Dailymotion's pages do not mention containers, so check that sign-in behaves as expected.
How do I back up a Dailymotion account before removing a browser profile?
Save videos from Studio by opening Media, then Videos, the three-dot menu and Download. Removing a Chrome profile erases its bookmarks, history, passwords and settings from the computer, and deleting the Dailymotion account itself removes uploads, playlists, favourites and subscriptions permanently and immediately.
What does Dailymotion store in my browser to keep me signed in?
The Cookie Policy (updated 28 May 2026) lists first-party cookies that allow authentication of a user: access_token for 10 hours, refresh_token for 3 months and sdx for the session. It says a browser may shorten lifespans, and that every cookie it uses lasts no longer than 13 months.
Will a separate browser profile change how Dailymotion treats my account?
No. A profile only keeps data such as cookies and settings apart on your computer. Dailymotion's Terms apply to every account however it is opened, and the Help Center describes sanctions for breaking them. Nothing about a profile promises how an account will be treated.
