How to Manage Behance for a Studio or Agency Without Sharing One Login

By ADSSPEED Team · Published · Updated · 6 min read

How do you manage Behance work for a team without sharing a login?

Use the tools Behance built for shared work. According to Behance's Help Center (read 3 October 2026), a Team page showcases the talent and work behind a company, each member adds the work they created, and admins manage the page. Projects can also be co-owned and credited. None of this needs anyone to hand over a password, and Adobe's General Terms of Use allow account information to be shared only with an authorized account administrator.

Two things share the word team and are easy to confuse. A Behance Team is a page on Behance. An Adobe Business profile comes from an organisation's Adobe plan and decides who controls an Adobe account. Both are covered below. Use only accounts you own or are authorised to manage, and follow Behance's rules; the rules guide lists them.

Who can do what

Role or toolWhat the Help Center says it can doLimits
Team adminManages all parts of the Team page: adds projects or members, edits Team info, manages requests, invites people, removes any project from the pageThe only admin must name a new admin before leaving
Team memberAdds the work they created to the Team page and can leave from the Teams section of Edit ProfileCan remove only their own projects from the Team page
Project co-ownerThe project shows on both profiles after the invitation is accepted; full control, including adding or removing content and unpublishingThe original uploader's Unpublish or Delete affects everyone
CreditNames a person in the project info; people not on Behance can be invited by emailOnly displays the person in the project info

Set up a Team, step by step

  1. Sign in with a Behance profile of your own; the guide says you need one to create a Team.
  2. Open your profile and select Edit Your Profile below your avatar.
  3. Scroll to the Teams section and start typing the Team's name.
  4. Select Create it Now.
  5. Add members who have Behance profiles. Only one person needs to create the Team; everyone else gets an invitation.
  6. Next time, open Profile, find the Team name on the left beneath your picture and stats, and select it to reach the Team editor.

To invite more people, an admin opens the Team page, uses the Members dropdown and searches by exact name or username. The Teams guides are dated 2020, while the Help Center's profile guide (updated March 2024) still lists the Teams section, so check what your screen shows.

Verified Teams. The Help Center says Behance verifies Teams on an ongoing basis, concentrates on well-known or large companies and brands, and accepts no requests. A verified Team can have more members. For an unverified Team it suggests linking to the Team from your official website and having coworkers join.

Co-owners and credits on client projects

  1. In the Project Editor open Settings, then Add Co-Owners, Credits, and More.
  2. Under Basic Info, search for the co-owner's username. You can add several.
  3. The invited person must accept before their name shows on the project.
  4. For a credit, use Discoverability and the Credits box instead.

To put a project on a Team page, use the Projects dropdown on the Team page or Discoverability in the Project Editor. Only public projects can be added, and when someone who is not a member adds a project through Discoverability, an admin has to confirm it before it appears.

Treat co-ownership as handing over the keys: a co-owner gets full control, and when the original uploader deletes a project, it is deleted for everyone and cannot be recovered. A co-owner who is not the uploader can use Remove on their own profile and the project stays with the others.

When your employer controls the Adobe account

Adobe's terms (section 1.3) say that if you receive access from an organisation under a business plan, such as Creative Cloud for Teams, you are a Business User and that Adobe profile is a Business Profile. Adobe may then let the organisation access, use, remove, retain and control the profile and everything in it. A personal profile stays under your sole control, apart from what Adobe's Privacy Policy says.

The Help Center describes what this looks like on Behance. When an Adobe account is added to a managed business or school account, assets were migrated from the Personal profile to a new Business profile, and you choose between profiles at login. To move a Behance account back, use Settings, then Use a Different Adobe Profile, then Use your Personal Profile; the guide notes you must still be able to access the Business profile, so do it before access ends. Other limits worth knowing: Behance Pro is currently only for Personal Profiles, Recruiter Pro is currently for individuals only, and a Recruiter Pro shortlist can be shared with teammates by link, so they can review candidates without your login.

Off-boarding checklist

TaskHow the Help Center describes it
Remove the person from the TeamThey can leave from Edit Profile, Teams section, with the x icon. Admins can remove members; the guides read give no click path
Take their work off the Team pageAn admin unchecks Add to team page for any project
Co-owned projectsA co-owner who is not the uploader can Remove it from their profile; the uploader can remove a project and transfer ownership to the first co-owner
If the leaver is the only adminName a new admin first
Their own Behance profileThe Teams guide describes admin control over the Team page only. If the person deletes their profile, the Help Center says it is instant and permanent, removes content and messages, and does not cancel Adobe subscriptions

If something does not work

  • The invitation cannot be accepted. It was sent with Invite via Email; re-invite the person by exact name or username.
  • The Team name is taken. The Help Center says that if you hold another account with the same URL, change that account's username in Account Settings to free it up.
  • The Team is full. The limit is 100 members, so remove members before inviting more.
  • A project is missing from the Team page. It must be public, and one added through Discoverability needs an admin's confirmation.

Where ADSSPEED fits

For teams who also work in a browser all day, ADSSPEED keeps each brand's or person's Behance sign-in in its own browser profile on a Windows or macOS desktop. Profiles hold their own cookies, local data and browser settings, can be opened, stopped and organised in bulk, and stay on your own computer. It does not replace Team roles or co-ownership, and it does not make sharing a login acceptable. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with Behance.

Frequently asked questions

How do I create a Behance team account?

According to the Help Center's Teams guide you need a Behance profile of your own and must be logged in. Open Edit Your Profile, scroll to the Teams section, type the Team's name, choose Create it Now and add members. Only one member needs to create it; the others get invitations.

How many people can be on a Behance Team?

The Help Center's FAQ says Teams have a maximum of 100 members and that Verified Teams have a higher limit. It adds that Teams are for people who design and work together at a company, firm or school, not for communities or groups.

Can a Behance project have multiple owners?

Yes. Adding a co-owner shows the project on both profiles once the invited person accepts, and a co-owner gets full control, including removing content or unpublishing. Credits are different: they only name a person in the project info.

Why can't someone accept my Behance Team invitation?

The Help Center says Invite via Email is only for people without Behance accounts. Someone who already has an account cannot accept it on their profile, so invite them again by typing their exact name or username through Invite a New Team Member.

Is Behance Pro available for team or business profiles?

The Behance Pro FAQ says Pro is currently only available to users with Personal Profiles. The Recruiter Pro FAQ likewise says that plan is currently available to individuals only, although a shortlist can be shared with teammates by link.

What happens to a Team's projects when someone leaves?

A member who leaves removes the Team from their own profile, and if they are the only admin they must assign a new admin first. Admins can remove any project from the Team page, and co-owned projects stay on the other co-owners' profiles.
